History

Industrial Plastics nv is founded. Startup of an extrusion plant for multiwall acrylic sheet.

1984

Installation of new extrusion plants for the extrusion of twinwall poly-propylene sheets.

1986

Startup of a converting department for diecutting of twinwall PP.

1988

Further expansion of production and converting plants for twinwall polypropylene sheets.

1990

Industrial Plastics nv company name changed to IPB nv (Industrial Plastic Belgium).

1994

Installation of new extrusion plant for the extrusion of APET and PETG solid sheets. IPB nv obtains ISO 9001 certification.

1996

Further expansion of production and converting plants for twinwall polypropylene sheets.

1997

Installation of new extrusion plant for the extrusion of APET and PETG solid sheets.

1999

Further expansion of production and converting plants for twinwall polypropylene sheets.

2000 - 2009

Installation of a new extrusion line for cell-structured sheets (Bicell).

2010

Installation of new extrusion technology for the development of our new product Triacell.

Quality

At IPB product quality is always the first consideration. Our quality standards are embedded in well-defined procedures which lead to a high-quality product. Due to its continuous care and attention to quality, from the reception of raw material till the delivery of the finished product, IPB has been ISO 9001 certified since december 1996. IPB disposes of lab facilities allowing to run all necessary quality approval tests inhouse, leading to a well-structured product quality management. Furthermore, well-trained technical engineers guarantee quality control and consistency.

Environment

At IPB nv environmental protection is of major importance. Production processes are being optimised in order to minimise environmental pollution. Optimum use of energy and recovery and reuse of cooling-water are only some measures in order to reduce environmetal pollution. Waste caused during production switches and the start up of production plants, is being regranulated en reused in the extrusion process. Other waste streams are being sorted and collected afterwards by specialized recycling companies. Products produced at IPB, such as PP & PET can be recycled after use and reprocessed again (e.g. for plastic pallets).
